Founded in 1837, Atlanta is an open book (Gone with the Wind, y’all) and is known as the ATL, A-town and Hotlanta. Regarded for its thriving music industry (John Mayer, Usher and The Black Crowes all got their big break here), this cosmopolitan city has no shortage of southern hospitality nor fans for their various sports teams. With a sophisticated palate for foodies, great shopping for the newest fashions or vintages wares, a rich history with museums and antebellum plantations to tour, this city has something for everyone. Georgia on my Mind!
On the banks of the Savannah River, Augusta has plenty to offer with a unique mix of old Southern charm, city life, and outdoor recreation. Every first week of April, the city explodes with excitement when the most decorated golfers in the world play at the Augusta National for the Masters Golf Tournament. A trip here is included on the bucket-list for many. And, oh—the Azaleas! Just Peachy!
Located in the middle of Georgia, Macon has been officially branded “Where Soul Lives.” Here, you will be hard-pressed not to find something to get involved in from year-round festival hopping, touring the Civil War era architecture, hiking the Ocmulgee National Monument and dining on delicious Soul Food. A lot of energy and diversity goes into the making of a college town and Macon lays claim to five institutions for higher learning. Those who call Macon home, love this city and want you to love it too. Take that Midnight Train to Georgia!
This ever-expanding city is home to Fort Benning Army base and the longest urban whitewater rafting course in the world running along the Chattahoochee River.
